Julia Thut
The 28-year-old Julia Thut from Switzerland has been attracted to natural arts like playing music, painting, and working with animals since she was a little girl. At age 20, she began her education as a Trainer for Recreational Riding (SVRV C) and, in 2005, after a month-long travel trough the middle of Germany, began practicing with the well-known Circus Trainer and Classical Rider, Nathalie Penquitt. A year later, she studied with Bent Branderup in Denmark who gives clinics in academic (historical) riding all over Europe. Through this education, she was introduced to historical sword fencing. In 2007, Julia studied with Stefanie Staudinger (Co-Trainer from Bent Branderup) in Nordern Germany, to get a deeper view into historical riding. Julia has been educating horses and riders for four years. She is living in Hamburg and giving Clinics in Germany, Switzerland and North-Europe.
She specializes in:
- Correction of horses and ponies with back problems and/or “misbehaving” horses, retraining them through work on the ground, work in-hand, and longeing
- Training for small horses and ponies in classical riding
- Circus Lessons
- Reconstruction of Mounted Combat
